El Rey Court is the Hippest Hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico
El Rey Court is arguably the hippest hotel in Santa Fe, New Mexico. Originally built in 1936 as the Motor Inn, alongside the original Route 66, it was later renovated and rebranded as the El Rey Court in 2018. The updates kept much of the vintage charm and added mid-century accents, fireplaces, and contemporary art throughout the 5-acre campus, creating uniquely stylized spaces. Each room is completely different, allowing for an element of surprise every time you stay with them. The hotel’s customer service is as involved or hands-off as you would like them to be.
Aside from it being a cute hotel, it’s home to a local watering hole, La Reina Mezcal-Tequila Bar. You will not be disappointed by the art, the drinks, or the company you meet there. They also have a swim club that’s open in the summer, offering food and drinks throughout the day and into the night. This Adobe chic x roadside classic x 21st-century hotel is affordable and adorable and will have you looking forward to returning back time and time again.
